The spacious interior is easy to access, thanks to removable panels, and there is ample support for high-end hardware. Showcase your gaming PC in the Kolink Observatory Y aRGB.
Improved Features
As an updated version of the Kolink Observatory design, the Kolink Observatory Y aRGB has improved features and support. As such, this case is user-friendly whilst still retaining that premium aesthetic. The full mesh front panel is elevated from the frame by side ventilation, providing airflow to the chassis. This panel showcases three of the pre-installed fans, providing a splash of colour against the matte black finish.
Utilising high-quality build materials, the Kolink Observatory Y aRGB offers great support and stability for all the hardware you install. The frame and panelling are manufactured from 0.7mm SPCC steel, providing a robust structure for the chassis.
Extensive Cooling Options
The Kolink Observatory Y aRGB has four, pre-installed Kolink Umbra PWM/aRGB 120mm fans. Three are mounted upon the front panel, whilst the last is upon the rear panel. As PWM fans, their speed scales to match the workload – using higher RPMs during intensive workloads and fewer revolutions when not needed for quieter operation. This bolsters the airflow provided by the ventilation and mesh top panel.
Alternatively, there is extensive support throughout the chassis for both fans and radiators, making the Kolink Observatory Y aRGB great for custom water-cooling. The front panel accommodates three 120mm or 140mm fans. The panel could alternatively cater for 240mm, 280mm, and 360mm radiators. On the top panel, there is space for either three 120mm fans, two 140mm fans, or up to a 360mm radiator. Finally, the rear panel can hold a single 120mm/140mm fan or radiator whilst the PSU shroud cover has mounts for two 120mm fans. Additionally, there is clearance for a CPU cooler up to 175mm thanks to the spacious interior.
Hardware Flexibility
With its specially curated interior, the Observatory Y aRGB grants you incredible flexibility when it comes to the hardware you install. The backplate can hold all motherboard form factors, including E-ATX, and is supported by seven expansion slots on the rear panel. This chassis is compatible with the Kolink Vertical GPU Kit, catering for vertically mounting graphics cards. With clearance for up to 380mm long cards, this case can accommodate most triple-slot GPUs currently available.
Below the main chamber is a dedicated PSU shroud, which has a removable panel to grant easier access to this narrower section. In the shroud is space for an ATX power supply, up to 190mm long, and a drive cage that holds two 3.5” HDDs. What’s more, there are mounts for three 2.5” SSDs upon the rear side of the motherboard backplate – truly offering extensive and flexible support for your storage solution.
Cable Management and Connectivity
Helping to keep the interior of your gaming PC tidy, the Observatory Y aRGB has a dedicated area behind the motherboard backplate for cable management. With 27mm of space and three Velcro ties, cables can be maintained and easily routed to where they need to be.
Directly above this section is the I/O panel. Situated to the right-hand side of the top panel, this features two USB 3.1 and one USB 2.0 ports, as well as two jacks for audio, power buttons, and an RGB controller button.
