Overview CrystalView Mini USB extender consists of two units, a local/transmitter unit, and a receiver/remote unit. The local unit connects to a CPU using a CPU adapter cable or a KVM switch. The Remote Unit connects directly to the keyboard, video monitor, and mouse cables of a KVM station using standard VGA, and USB rather than PS/2 ports. The local and remote units connect together with up to 150 feet of industry standard CATx cable.
CrystalView Mini uses a microprocessor to emulate the keyboard and mouse for plug-and-play configuration. The serial/audio models allow stereo audio to be transmitted in either direction across the CATx link simultaneously. Most serial devices, such as a touchscreen, can plug directly into the serial port on the remote unit. CrystalView Mini model uses state-of-the-art technology and is compact in size, making it an ideal solution when space is at a premium.
