Use your 2.5in or 3.5in IDE hard drives in a SATA HDD Docking Station
The SAT2IDEADP SATA to IDE hard drive adapter enables you to use your 2.5-inch/3.5-inch IDE-based (PATA) hard drives in most StarTech.com SATA-based HDD docking stations and drive duplicators. The SATA-IDE adapter features all-metal construction that ensures maximum durability, and is fully compatible with IDE hard drives up to ATA-133 (133MBps).
The unique mounting style of the SATA/IDE adapter enables it to be easily mounted to an IDE/ATA hard drive, and inserted into a SATA hard drive dock bay, for quick and easy retrieval of data from older HDDs. The adapter can also be used to install IDE hard drives into SATA-only desktop computers, or any other scenario that requires an IDE hard drive to be connected through Serial ATA.
The SAT2IDEADP hard drive adapter works with most StarTech.com SATA HDD Docking Stations and Duplicators.

The DIGITUS® USB2.0 serial adapter offers a practical solution for providing serial connectivity. A serial RS232 interface is no longer available on newer hardware. The DIGITUS® USB2.0 serial adapter enables data exchange between a USB2.0 port on the computer and peripheral devices with a serial interface (COM port, RS232), such as weather stations, sensors, machine controls, set-top boxes, games consoles, PDAs, scanners, modems, ISDN adapters and many other peripheral devices. The USB2.0 serial adapter is downwards compatible with USB1.1 and enables customizable baud rates between 75 bits and 128,000 bits per second. The individually configurable FTDI chipset ensures compatibility with all common operating systems and also supports power management and remote wake-up. Power is supplied via the USB port; a separate power supply unit is not required.

The ICUSB2321F 1-Port USB to Serial RS232 Adapter Cable with FTDI chipset and COM Retention converts an available USB 1.1 or 2.0 port into an RS232 serial DB9 port to connect, monitor and control your serial devices. This compact adapter features COM retention, allowing the same COM port value to automatically be re-assigned to the port if the cable is disconnected and re-connected to the host computer, or if the system is rebooted. The ICUSB2321F uses the FTDI chipset which supports additional customization, advanced features, and compatibility not necessarily offered by other solutions.
